Using PRI you can print film-quality studies at the cost of paper.

PRI transforms ordinary printers into DICOM printing systems thus making it possible to print high-quality images at the cost of paper. PRI also addresses environmental concerns by reducing chemical waste associated with the production of radiology films.

Benefits

You can print all study types at a minimal cost: color, black and white, US Letter, Tabloid, A4 and A3 formats.

Does not change users' working habits. Users still make their selection on their terminal, and send their print requests to the printer via the PRI gateway.

PRI offers adjustment capabilities for fine-tuning printing (brightness, contrast, blur, number of images per page...) according to the type of study.

Much less chemical waste compared to printing on radiology films.

 

Key features

PRI turns your Windows-based computer into a DICOM 3.0 print server. It acts as a "translator" (or interface) between DICOM-compliant imaging modalities and Windows printers. PRI receives print requests over the DICOM network from imaging modalities and workstations, and then routes them to local or network printers automatically.

"Store to Print": PRI retrieves patient and study information from images sent through DICOM Store for printing on the booklet leading page (new).

Printed images are automatically sent to PACS (new).

Reports are associated with print jobs for combined printing of reports and images (new).
